BSE-NSE bulk deals: Goldman Sachs, Fidelity buy stake in PNC Infratech

MUMBAI: Goldman Sachs, Fidelity International, SBI Mutual Fund, Nomura Singapore, Nippon Life India Mutual Fund and few other marquee investors picked up small stakes in PNC Infratech Ltd today through block deals on the BSE.

Other prominent buyers were Axis Mutual Fund, Aurigin Master Fund, Max Life Insurance Company and PCA India Infrastructure Equity Open.

Prior to today, domestic mutual funds held 22.82 per cent stake in the company and foreign portfolio investors owned 6.06 per cent.

On the other side, CN Infrabuild Pvt Ltd sold 15.8 million shares of PNC Infratech through multiple block deals on the BSE at an average price of Rs 175 apiece. Prior to today’s stake sale, CN Infrabuild held 9.95% stake in PNC Infratech, as per the company’s latest regulatory disclosure.

Shares of PNC Infratech ended 5 per cent lower at Rs 176 on the National Stock Exchange.

Today, benchmark indices ended lower as concerns rose over likely corporate tax hikes in the US after reports said that Democrats might have clinched key Senatorial elections in Georgia to take control of the US Congress.

The 50-stock Nifty 50 index ended at 14,146.25, down 53.25 points or 0.4 per cent, snapping a three-day winning streak. The BSE-Sensex closed lower after 10 successive days of gains at 48,174.06, down 0.5 per cent.
